What Is Life? A Journey Without a Fixed Destination

“Today, we’re boarding a train with no starting station, no destination, and no timetable.
Just a journey.
So… shall we begin?

What Is this journey Really About?

This article is not about biology, success, or survival. It will decode what is life??
It is about the emotions, people, memories, and silent questions we collect while living.
A journey through life where some passengers stay forever, and some leave after teaching us the lessons.

When we look at life from a broader perspective and ask ourselves, “What is life, and how does it work?” I often relate the cycle of life to a train journey — like the Indian Railways.

What is life- train

We do not know exactly from which station this train has started, but we are aware of one temporary station — the one called birth. Just like a train crosses countless stations before reaching us, perhaps our soul also travels through many past lives before arriving here.

We know the date we entered this world, but we never know when our final station will arrive i,e death.

Relation between life and train

The compartments of the train are like our family members — fixed and deeply connected to us. The engine is our brain, and the fuel is our heart. Doors, windows, and the technical parts of the train are like our friends and relatives. Some stay with us permanently, while others remain only for a certain part of the journey.

Passengers??

Who enters our train, from which station they board, and where they leave — maybe all of this is already decided by our karma and past life choices. Perhaps we ourselves chose this journey long before we were born. God does not control every moment for us, but stays beside us as a guide throughout the journey.

During this journey, we meet different kinds of people with different mindsets and stories. Which helps us to understand what is life??

Different variation of people-life lessons

In one compartment, a wealthy family is sitting in AC class. They have separate seats, expensive degrees, good jobs, and comfortable lives. Yet they are fighting with the ticket collector and other passengers just to exchange seats for a little more comfort during a short journey.

Now look at the general compartment.

A man almost misses the train but somehow catches it at the last moment. The compartment is overcrowded. There is not even enough space to stand properly. Somehow, he manages to stand near the washroom. People push him, scold him, and treat him badly.

He is poor, uneducated, and earns very little.

Yet he is happy.

Because in his mind, he thinks:
“At least I got on the train. Now I can go to work, earn something, and my family will have food today.”

Universal Timing

what is life??

There are many trains going toward the same destination, but each one has different timings, routes, and journeys. We choose trains according to our needs, and if we miss one train, we wait for another or choose another way to travel.

Life works in a similar way.

Everything comes to us at the right time. You are exactly where you are supposed to be.

Every train is different.
Every route is different.
Every stop is different.

Then why do we compare our journey with others?

Your journey was never meant to look like someone else’s.

Their is someone with you- Always

This entire train is managed by the universe. And just like Indian Railways, the universe has no competition. It moves millions of people in its own timing and system. If we face any problem during this journey Indian railway is there to help us at every stop.

What is mean for us stay with us

Sometimes we love certain passengers so deeply that we want them to travel with us till the last station. But their station is already decided. No matter how much we want them to stay, they eventually have to leave when their stop arrives.

And we must continue our journey without them.

what is life??

I also feel that according to our karma and life lessons, some passengers may unexpectedly leave early, while new ones enter our journey. Some journeys get extended, and some connections end suddenly.

Just like a last-minute change in a train schedule.

Maybe that is how life works too.
